Face Greeter

Step in front of your camera and a door opens for you with a personal greeting, spoken aloud and matched to your local time: good morning, afternoon, evening or night.

How it works

  1. Allow camera access.
  2. Type your name and enroll: follow the prompts to look straight, left, right, up and down.
  3. Step away and come back. The door opens and you're greeted by name.

✔ What is saved

  • Your name, as you typed it
  • A small list of numbers (a "face fingerprint") from each enrollment snapshot
  • All of it only in this browser's local storage, on your device

✘ What is not saved

  • No photos or video are stored
  • Nothing is uploaded to any server, and there is no account
  • Other visitors and devices can't see your data

You can delete everything at any time with the "Delete all enrolled faces" button. This is a fun demo, not a security system: a photo of you may fool it, so don't use it to protect anything. The face models are downloaded from a public CDN when you launch the app.
